Oklahoma City, OK asked in Child Custody for Oklahoma

Q: My ex wife has just married a man she has dated for only a few months. He lives in Utah, and my son nor I have met him.

We just finished settling in mediation when she attempted to move to Arizona last year. She is very flighty with everything, attorneys, daycares, schools, where they live etc. The judge increased my custody to 50/50 and denied her relocation request. Now she has married this man we have never met, that also has a past with addiction and losing custody of his own children. He got his kids back, but not 50/50. What are the chances the judge would let her move if she petitions for another relocation? In mediation they also put it no place that I have to agree to her moving him out of his current school district or we have to go to a parent coordinator.

A: The question is not if she can move, but if she can move with the child. To get a reliable answer, your best bet is to have an attorney review your custody order.

A: Based on her history, I doubt a judge would permit her to take your child with her.
