Broken Arrow, OK asked in Divorce, Family Law and Child Custody for Oklahoma

Q: How Can I get visitation of 17 year old?

I filed divorce papers in the court with my terms of visitation, rotating every week. (Pro se) My child is 17, he refuses to speak to me, his dad refuses as well. I have not seen my son since October 31, 2017. Now my husband is challenging the venue of divorce, I live in Osage County, he lives in Pawnee County. Both of us have lived in the counties for over 6 months.

My son is supposed to be a junior this year, he flunked last year, he’s still a sophomore, and currently flunking classes now. I don’t feel as if my son is capable of making adult decisions based on his school performance. His father is proving he’s not interested in getting his grades up. I have not been notified of any illnesses as he’s missed 6 days of school due to illness.

Is there anything that I can do to get an emergency custody agreement? Or have a judge sign off on the custody agreement I gave to the court clerk to file?
