Q: Logistic forwarder denies responsibility for its mistakes causing big money loss

As Amazon seller I use logistic services from a forwarder in US to inspect, prepare and forward the imported items to Amazon warehouse.

I provided some empty packaging together with the complete items just to have some spare and to be replaced in case of any damage during transportation from China to US. The forwarder was clearly instructed to destroy the remaining unused empty packaging, but instead they sent a part of them to Amazon warehouse (66 pieces - representing 8% of total items).

Now the empty packages arrive to the customers generating unpleasant experience and bad reputation to our brand plus all the money loss due to an extra item sent to the client.

The forwarder denies that this is his responsability. They just say sorry.

I am facing another challange due to this incident as there is one negative comment that says "My package was empty." and for the last two days already the sales droped down to 0 (zero) units.

What can I do to make them pay the loss?

Thank you

A: First, get them to state to Amazon what happened and ask Amazon if they will print that under the person's post.

Second, look at your agreement with them. Generally, you have to figure out if the costs of litigation are worth the hassle.
