Q: Oklahoma trust question; my stepmother created revocable trust in 2006 - she passed in February, 2017 ....
... successor trustee, an attorney, immediately took over trust - we found stepmothers daughter liquidated all properties and assets of stepmother while she was alive and put it into trust - trustee did not notify any of the 4 current beneficiaries from our side of the family (we are easily found) - we finally had to contact him 10 months later - he seems evasive and says trust is private and he would only let us have copy of portion of trust pertaining to us. Also, he finally admitted there was a pour over will, but was evasive about letting us see it.
QUESTIONS; 1.) In Oklahoma, do current beneficiaries have a right to receive a full copy of the un-redacted trust documents? 2.) Do we have rights to see pour over will? (we are unsure if we are mentioned in it) however, we know we are specifically mentioned as beneficiaries in the Trust it is directed to. 3.) as current beneficiaries, should we not be receiving an monthly or quarterly accounting of the trust?
Thx for any help.
A:
You should visit with an attorney who does trust litigation. It is likely that you are entitled to see all of the documents. If you know who prepared the trust, you might ask the attorney for a copy.
