Haddon Heights, NJ asked in Business Law and Small Claims for New Jersey

Q: I was selling a dress and the woman took the money back and I was charged with the fee.

I was selling a dress online for $75 and the person who bought it offered a $40 holding charge so that I would not sell to anyone else. So I was expecting a check for $115 and was about to send the dress when I got a check for $860. She wanted a mover to pick it up but that could not happen because I would not be home. I nicely explained and she freaked out and took the $860 out of my account. Because of that an extra $15 came out. To most it might be just $15 but I am a 16 year old trying to save up for a car and college and that $15 means a lot. That specific $15 was my ticket to homecoming and the $115 was for school payments. I do not know what I can do please help me.

A: Your options are limited you did not deliver the product, also your question does not make sense as you stated the product was $115 but she sent you $860.
