Q: I have joint custody over my 17year old son and his father has legal residential custody of him. I found out that the
Father signed him out of school for good because my son didn’t want to go to school. Is there anything I can do about this when I obviously want him in school and this topic was never discussed with me at all.
A: You could file a motion arguing that it's not in his best interest to leave school and that you want him to continue through college. But prepare yourself for the worst...if your son is really against going to school you'll just be wasting your time and money. It's the old adage, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"
