Q: I have a daughter. Now 11, Mom disappeared for 6 years no contact ran into her one day said this is ur daughter stayed a

My house and wrote a handwritten letter stating that she could no longer take care of her and I had her for almost 4 years now somehow she got a hold of DCF showed up at the school took her and disappeared I have no idea where they are or what they're doing do I have any rights to at least get some visitations I do not know how that she could have done this considering she abandon her for 4 years help is there anything I can do to at least have visitations to make sure my baby girl is okay. She contacts me constantly on Facebook and tells me they moved to California how could she do this. She also says I miss u want to come home. There was also aligation of sexual abuse that my daughter said and I put her in counseling which also blows my mind WHY WOULD THEY GIVE HER TO SOMEONE LIKE THAT.

A: Were you involved in a paternity action or custody and support matter before the DCF was involved? You need to contact and meet with a family law attorney as soon as possible as it seems that you have never been involved with the Court system to have any adjudication.
