A: Each case varies based on numerous factors. Suffice to say it won't be cheap and it won't be quick. In the best of circumstances, it will likely take several months. It is far better and less expensive for you and your spouse to sit down and work out something fair. If you go the court route, all you are really doing is paying strangers often quite a bit of money to make decisions for you that you and your spouse likely could have made fairly yourselves for free or at little expense with guidance from good lawyers.
