Cambridge, NY asked in Traffic Tickets for New York

Q: I was wondering the laws for businesses having vehicles towed in Saratoga springs NY

An employee gave me permission to leave the vehicle there the night before, there was no posted signs that your car will be towed or of parking restrictions despite the store telling me after that there is a 4 hour policy, the employees were unable to tell me who towed my car or who to contact luckily a customer was there that saw it earlier and knew the company, vehicle was parked on the side of the lot out of the way where the employees said it would be the best spot, the tow company charged way more than normal $160 for 2 mike tow with 2 hours storage. Also the vehicle is used for Uber and there was lost wages as a result if that’s relevant at all

A: I can't think of a cost effective way to get your $160 back. If you figure one out, let the rest of us know.
