Q: 5 car wreck got ticket in mail Failure to control speed. I was due in court today, no one knows anything plz advise
No fatalities praise the Lord only myself and the gentleman I hit right in front of me went to the ER. Travis county as well as department of public safety were on scene approximately 9 squads including 4 fire trucks and 3 ambulances. It took over a week for Any of us to find our vehicles I was able to find out 1st due to half of my large church looking for it as well as constantly calling and going to all of the Listed tow truck Addresses. The clerk stated it may have been too much paperwork and just too much confusion that they just dropped it is that possible?
A: It MAY be the officer who issued the citation has yet to file same with the Court. Make sure you file something with the Court in writing, requesting a court date. Keep a file marked copy of the request in case the ticket turns up 3 months from now. Calling a local attorney would help. Good luck.
