Q: I got a speeding ticket 2 years ago with 6 points, the job I want needs less than 3pts. Will they still B able 2c points
I was doing 45 in 30mph. Officer given ticket. How long before the points don’t show or erase from your driving record or before I job can’t use it against you. I got 6 points in January 2016 and this job requires less than 3 points on license.

The points stay on your record for about 4 years from the date of conviction.

Also, if the ticket was not in the 5 boroughs, and you just plead guilty, then there is a possibility to reopen the case and reduce the points.
