Q: What else can we do to get our children back from DHS custody

Charged with lack of supervision ×3 Failure to provide caregiver ×3 Threat of harm ×3 children involved ages 11years, 6 years and 20 months old. living in a motel iso a home. 2 older kids at school. Youngest down for 2 1/2 hr. nap. Potential landlord called said he was coming through area, could meet about 1/2 mile to check out application. we left our child sleeping. Police were called and when we returned, there was an officer. Our child was still asleep. Officer called DHS. DHS questioned previous incidents. There were none He made a phone call. informed us that he had DA's approval to remove our children. 2 older ones were being picked up from school. We are ignorant of how things work. can't afford an attorney. enrolled in Parenting classes & cooperative. not missed an appt. 1 kid moved 4× in month pressured into cutting hair. 1 in daycare got impetigo & strep throat. first 3 weeks after placement only cried. All feel fault & are in separate homes minimum visits 4 hr/mth

A: You will be given a court date. Ask the judge to appoint an attorney for you. It's important for you to have a home for the kids if you want them back.
