Q: Can a 17yo be searched w/o parental consent?
My son was riding his bike at 1:30am on a Saturday night during Spring break and was arrested by Grove PD for curfew violation. I can not find any information about what time the City of Grove curfew is, how can they enforce a law that is posted nowhere accesible to parents. They then assaulted him when they asked for his ID. When he reached into his pocket to get his work ID they twisted his arm behind his back and slammed him on the hood of the police car. Next they searched him without parental consent and found 2gms of Marijuana and a pipe.
