Danbury, CT asked in Traffic Tickets for New York

Q: Can you retrial for a moving violation from July 2011 and a failure to appear in court

I was driving home with a buddy when I was all of a sudden pulled over by a state trooper going through Scarsdale, Ny. He first goes to the passenger side and ask for my buddy's license he refused. They pulled him out, and they proceeded to come to my side with their guns drawn, and ask for my driver license and registration. I cooperated and provided them with all their needed documentation. They then asked if they can search the car, and I had refused, but they found a reason when my hand slipped off the steering wheel and they said I was reaching for something. They put me in the back of their squad car, and searched every nook and cranny of my carr; of course they didn't find anything. My reward for not being a gang banging hispanic was a failure to keep right ticket. I pleaded not guilty, and do not remember receiving the court date. 8 years later I received a DMV letter for a suspended license. The court won't give me the fine price until I plead guilty. Help please!

A: There is no need to plead guilty, you can plead not guilty and pay a $70 suspension termination fee. The Court will then either: schedule a pre trial conference date, or set a bail amount.
