A: You always have the right to change lawyers. The difficulty is in regard to potential fee splits between the new lawyer and the previous lawyer and whether or not a new lawyer will be willing to accept your claim. I would suggest that you sit down with your current lawyer and try to work out your differences before shopping for a new lawyer. Dissatisfaction with an attorney is often nothing more than a miss-understanding in regard to what is being done by the lawyer in regard to the legal matter and can be worked out with a face-to-face meeting.
