A: You certainly should speak with a competent immigration attorney in the context of a consultation. Making a false claim to U.S. Citizenship and voting illegally can have substantial negative effects in the context of immigration cases. If you are a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident now, have voted illegally and are considering filing your N-400, Application for Naturalization, certainly do NOT do so without speaking first with an immigration attorney who can advise you.

A: If you are not a US citizen, you should not be registered to vote. This could be a big problem in trying to qualify for a green card and naturalization.

Schedule a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney.
