Metairie, LA asked in Child Support for Alabama

Q: I’ve paid about $21,000.00 over since order for child support should have terminated. I cannot get them to stop deduct

The payee is incapacitated non responsive with a stroke and cannot be served. I don’t have money to file in court or get attorney

Can’t somebody stop the automatic deduction?

A: If you have not filed anything in court you can't get that back pay taken off. He or is court appointed guardian or conservator has to make a court filing. That's the only way it can be taken off. JPC
