Q: How long do I have to wait to take back my house?
I rented my house out to a couple in december 2017 yesterday the couple was both arrested for drug trafficking second degree.i don't want drug dealers in my house so how long do I have to wait to take my house back. I'm willing to put all there belonging in storage till they get out.
A: Depends on whether the drug dealing occurred at the residence and whether your lease addresses the situation. You cannot simply move them out. It takes a court judgment. If the dealing occurred from the residence, you could file for an expedited eviction. Contact a local landlord-tenant attorney.
A: If they are on a month to month lease you can give them 30 days written notice to get out.
