Q: Domestic violence case in florida not pursued/dropped due to life threatening and threaten not reported

Domestic violence case in florida was not pursued / dropped by an immigrant on h4 visa due to life threatening and the threatening was not reported due to fear

Can a complaint to police be filed later when the victim gains some confidence to report?

The marriage based green card interview completed after case was dropped. Due to fear wife did not mention this incident voilence to USCIS official. The husband had an immigration lawyer for himself in green card interview who helped him answer question pertaining his arrest. Saying it was a minor tiff between husband & wife. Wife does not have any copy of papers filed for green card. H4 expired.

The husband has a girlfriend with whom he spends time and stays with her and has tricked wife to US on pretext of green card. Even after charges is dropped he does not live in house he has given as his address in his green card file. Wife is in the shelter and terrified

What will happen if wife reports this threatneing after gc interview

A: If the husband is convicted of domestic violence, he could be placed in removal proceedings before an Immigration Judge.
