Q: Is there a way to become a legal guardian of my stepdaughter? We haven’t heard from her mother in like 7 years.
No child support has been paid or phones calls or any trying on her part. My husband (her father) has full custody. Is there a way for me to become a legal guardian? She is 16. I want to eventually adopt her. Just not in a place to be able to do that right now.
