Wixom, MI asked in Real Estate Law for Michigan

Q: I have a signed purchase agreement for my house. On the day the inspection was supposed to happen, I received a Mutual

Release of Purchase Agreement from the buyer's agent. I was told the buyer got a job on the east side and has now changed his mind. There was no contingency for job location in the agreement. When I stated that to the buyer's agent, I was told the buyer was dis-satisfied with other things. There was a $10,000 EMD due 2 days "after" the inspection that never happened. I am a fsbo. I am being pressured by the buyer's agent to sign this agreement. The buyer's agent says the original purchase agreement is null and void anyway. What consequences will I suffer if I do not sign the Mutual Release? I never agreed to release the purchase agreement.
