Q: Ex-wife feels I should pay 1/2 amount for kids camp excluding her discount.
my ex-wife and I share joint custody of the children. I and she agreed to 50/50 extracurricular and summer camp activities. Both of us fell on some hard times and neither one of us could afford full camp. She worked very hard to get discounts. They run about 75% off of the fees for camp. I recently found out that she was lying to me about the camp fees and I was paying 50% of the non discount fees. She is in a worse situation than me at this time, I was recently out of work with finally found the job that temporary.
After a heated discussion I offered to pay for the camp for the price of the discount. She feels I should pay more than that. She feels she earned the discount and I shouldn't be entitled to it. This next bill that is due will put me over the amount that she's actually being billed. Am I legally entitled to the discount.
A: The cost of camp, with the discount, should be split equally between both parties.
