Q: Hello I recently got married but my husband is in jail and I have been trying to work on my citizenship

I wanted to know if this is possible while he is in jail and what paper work do I have to fill out

A: If you are truly applying for citizenship, then the fact that your husband is in jail should not have any bearing on your case; however, if by “citizenship” you mean “permanent residence (green card)”, then you are going to have some issues because your husband needs to sign some of the paperwork, and he needs to show that he can be your financial sponsor.

This case has some traps; you will want to talk with an immigration attorney to make sure the process is done right.
