Philadelphia, PA asked in Child Custody, Child Support, Divorce and Family Law for Ohio

Q: My husband and I are separated, going through a divorce. What parental rights does he have at this time?

My husband left a little over a month ago. The night he left, he went to stay with another female. A few days later, the female came with him as he came to get the rest of his things and he moved into her 1 bedroom apartment. He has not seen our son within this whole month. He keeps asking to come get our son for a full weekend, although nothing is in writing as far as his visitation rights.

I do not want my son around this female. She has 3 kids who she doesn't have custody of. I was told it was due to previous abusive relationship. When I asked my husband for details (since my son could possibly be around her), he said that it's illegal to talk about that the records are sealed. This made me very uncomfortable.

My husband is a narcissist, and was very emotionally abusive throughout our marriage, as well as talked to multiple women throughout our marriage.

My lawyer should have the divorce decree sent to him within the next week or two. What are his parental rights at this time?
