Q: I live in supportive housing in Brooklyn, ny. I am a disabled, senior. I have chronic ceiling leaking and floods to
chronic ceiling floods and substantial leaks to my room from bathroom over me. I have asked director for financial compensation to my damaged personal property, which they have given me before. Now, they will do nothing for me to help compensate me for my personal property damage. They have eyes on proof and pictures of damage to my personal property. They will give me nothing. In addition, the director says she will not change my room unless i give her a doctor's note. I have a hearing in Small Claims Court, Brooklyn, September 17, 2018. Obviously they are just not going to make me whole financially and are just ignoring me with this problem. Ceiling leaks are not my fault, but building is at fault.
