Q: How long will a sheriff try to serve an order for child support in the state of IL? And what happens if no service?
The states attorney has told me that the sheriff has attempted to serve him 4 times in the past 4 months but he is never there. She also mentioned that if this goes on long enough my case may be dismissed? Is this true?
A: I would hire your own lawyer with a private process server who will find him.
