Tampa, FL asked in Criminal Law for Florida

Q: What's a motion to compel a more adequate discovery? What does it mean when the order for that motion has been granted?

Someone with a grudge against me attempted to stab me a few months back. I was able to get away, but my backpack was ripped from his lunge and attempt. I turned around and video recorded him with his shirt off swearing at me and with the blade in his hand and filed a police report. Charges were filed against him for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. I also filed an injunction against him. He missed his first court date after being arrested and bonding out. He was arrested for a second time on a capias bench warrant. Now he has filed for a motion to compel a more adequate discovery in jail. A week later the order for the motion was granted. Can someone please explain exactly what's going on? and how this situation might end? I am in fear of my life
