Q: How do people get credit cards after they are bankrupt?

A: Easily. They apply for them again because creditors know you cannot file chapter 7 again for 8 years so its a safe bet.

A: Just Apply!

After your debt has been disvharged in bankruptcy, you now have a clean slate....and a creditor is oftentimes more willing to give you new credit. Since you can only file bankruptcy every 8 years, if you default on the new credit, the creditor can now come after you ...and you wont have the benefit of bankruptcy protection...at least not under the same Bankruptcy Chapter.
