Moreno Valley, CA asked in Domestic Violence for California

Q: I have witnessed my roommate violate his restraining order in our residence. Am I liable in any way if I do not report ?

He has been convicted of domestic violence and is in anger classes instead of jail right now. His family members who are the victims in the restraining order were brought into our residence by him and got drunk, hostile, arguing and calling each other names. Me and my other roommates made them leave. This has happened 3 times since with June 5th being the first time and August 23rd being the last time. We did not find out about his troubles with the law until just recently. He was convicted of beating his sister into a coma and his stepdad into unconsciousness.

A: more info needed.

it doesn't sound like you have done anything wrong.

however, he clearly has some major anger issues and I would not want to be living with someone like that.
