Q: can a father have visitation and be alone with my daughter?
I am exclusively breastfeeding my three month old daughter and I don't feel safe letting her alone with her father and specially with the fathers parents around, will it be possible for him to have alone visitation with her?
A: If a father asks a court to make orders allowing visitation, the court will always consider the safety of the child first. At this point, because you are breastfeeding, that issue will have to be taken into consideration as well. But I would need more information to know whether a court would ban the father from having any sort of visitation, or whether any visitation would be conditioned on his parents not being around.
