Roseville, CA asked in Domestic Violence for California

Q: I need to know what form I need to fill out to withdraw my request for a restraining order in Placer County.

I filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order at the courthouse in Placer County that a hearing has not been set for yet. I dont think the person who I have filed against has been served with it yet either. After the realization that I will have to collect all evidence and then attend multiple hearings in order to get the order approved by a judge, I have decided against wanting to pursue the order at all. What do I need to do, specific to the Placer County Courthouse, to request that the order be withdrawn or dismissed without having to attend a hearing? Is a simple letter to the judge acceptable or is there a specific form that I need to fill out for this?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.
