Q: my husband is on felony probation and we are wanting to move out of state. what would a lawyer cost for this ?

my husband is on felony probation for aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.. he has 6 years left on his probation in fl. we are wanting to move to alabama but need to know how to get the application for transfer put in. we are also wondering what the average cost would be for this service. we have contacted his po officer and he is telling me that i have to move first with our kid before he will send the request in.. and also that i must have a job up there

A: You can always request the court to terminate his probation by filing a motion. See Florida Statute 948.05.
