San Pablo, CA asked in Domestic Violence for California

Q: Will he be charged with felony domestic violence?

My now ex-boyfriend jumped on me at bar. The witnesses that seen the altercation are mutual friends of ours and no one is wiling to testify against him because they are scared of him. I had to go to urgent care and then was sent by ambulance to the emergency room to get a CT scan. I suffered a big lump on the back of my head, a swollen neck from him choking me, a concussion, broken blood vessels in my eye from him punching me in my face and I eye turned black and purple and numerous of cuts and bruises.

I called the police about an hour after it happened, I had called my sister first who is a detective and of course she told me to call the police. Once I did they asked me to come down, but I was too distraught and in pain. I went to the hospital about 7 hours after the fact because I couldn't sleep due to the pain and spent 10 hours in 2 different hospitals an both hospitals called the police, but they didn't come. I had to go after I got out of the hospital and made my report.
