Hermosa Beach, CA asked in Car Accidents and Traffic Tickets for California

Q: should i get legal counsel to represent me at a dmv driver safety license reinstatement hearing?

License was revoked due to a lapse of consciousness. In order to reinstate I must attend a reinstatment interview at the driver safety office. My medical evaluation was positive and recieved by the DMV. I was required to disclose medical conditions and medications unrelated to the lapse of consciousness. I would like some help to be prepared to answer questions and defend myself during this hearing as these conditions absolutely do not affect my ability to drive.

A: You have the right to have an attorney represent you, but the majority of the case will be related to your medical condition and what medications you take and what your doctors examination report and recommendation says.

If you would like an experienced attorney guide you with this then call for a free consult and see if you want to hire an attorney for this issue.

A: You need a full consultation to discuss the reasons for the suspension, the content of the medical evaluations and the scope of the DMV hearing. Sorry, but there is no quick, free answer on the internet.

A: a lawyer needs a lot more info

you should always have a lawyer retained to protect your rights at the earliest time possible for a DMV hearing.............i would not want you to talk to the DMV at all..........everything should be done by your lawyer otherwise s/he is stuck with what you have done or said.

it is not always what you said but rather what they thought they heard you say......

remember silence is golden and handcuffs are silver........
