Q: My grandmother died 12 years ago. My Aunt just called me & said the estate in going into probate. Why so long after?
My Aunt& Uncle moved into grandmas house right after she died and have lived there ever since. Nothing was ever said about the estate until now. I have always wondered why the estate wasn't settled and how my aunt & uncle could just live there but to keep family peace kept quiet. I am trying to figure out why after 12 years the estate is finally going to probate.
