Q: how can I go about to start a petition for my husband to get a parole date?
My husband is currently incarcerated at the Mississippi Department of Corrections he is serving a 20 year sentence he has done 12 already he is charged with Manslaughter and drive by shooting his case manger informed him that he can contact a lawyer to see how he can petition for a parole date
A: If he is in MS then you need to contact an MS lawyer who could do that. Virginia abolished parole in most cases. The state that charged him will govern where you file.
