Q: IF I cannot afford a lawyer , does it mean my abuser has all the rights?
I left the home and had to leave my daughter. I am a victim of physical , mental , abuse. He would not let me take my daughter. He has broken me , and I have nothing. How do I file temp. custody ? I need to get something done legally so I have rights to my child. He prevents it at every turn. I need the court involved. He will not agree to anything I ask . communications with my daughter , he controls. I have no resources. No documentation of the abuse. He made sure of that. My family believes me. My daughter has witnessed some fo the abuse. I left or I believe i would be dead . What can I do? Is there anything I can do? I'm at my mom's house. She is supportive , and I can stay with her.. This abusive man needs the letter of the law so he can't control or bully me concerning my child. He says he is taking her out of state. please? Any advice? Thank you.
