Q: I dont know if I am in the right place but I am trying to do a minor last name change. Its confusing.
Her so called "bio parent" said he would take me to court but never has. My daughter is 5 and he has not been in her life or met her. I do not feel she would be safe with him alone. Me and my boyfriend have been together basically since she was born. We want to change her last name to his because she has mine. In the future we look to marriage so he can adopt her. (Newark)
