Orange, TX asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Texas

Q: What can I do if I never agreed to the custody decision and was unfairly given supervised visitation with split custody

I've been doing supervised visitation for over 5yrs now and my ex has denied many visits or did not show up and the cops won't help even with a court order. At the custody hearing I was told my ex was fighting for full custody which I disagreed on and demanded split custody which the court person I was speaking with said not to worry and I'd have split custody with weekend visit. I had to be at work so the man told me to go to work and I'd get my split custody papers in the mail which when I received them I was awarded split custody with supervised visits. I did not agree to that and my signature is not on the court order. I was told by the attorney general's office that I'd have to figure it out myself when I wanted info. Now it's been 5yrs and I've done more than a fair share of supervised visits but my ex denies me to take my child unsupervised or will decide not to show up to my mandatory visits and nobody will help me with my rights.. it is unjust for Any court to auto. A: You can file contempt motions against mom and do a motion to modify. Check with an attorney in your area for a detailed analysis of your case. Good luck.
