A: Without delay, provide the summons and complaint to the insurance carrier that carried your policy at the time of the accident. You should be able to do this via email. You might have to call first to set up a claim number and learn who the claim rep assigned to your file will be. If the carrier wants the original pleadings, keep a photocopy for your records. Your carrier should then take steps to arrange for your legal defense.

A: Mr. Akpinar is correct. I would 1) call- your insurance--you should have a claim number from back when. Tell them to reactivate the file if it is closed 2) speak to the adjuster 3) besides emailing him what you were served with, send a copy certified return receipt. They will appoint an attorney.
