Q: How much time could my daughter get for absconding from conditional release?
My daughter was convicted of two 3rd degree felonies on 4/10/2017 and sentenced to 2 years probation. She absconded from probation after 2 months. She was rearrested in Sept. 2017. She was sentenced to 2 years in prison with 236 days time served. She was released on 12/8/2018 with 3 months 16 days conditional release. She met with probation officer upon release but never went back. She has since left the county and is hiding. I was told the judge could give her the max for the two charges. Is this correct?
A: Your daughter could be returned to prison to complete her sentence and would likely forfeit any and all gain time she earned while in prison...look at Florida Statute 947.141
