A: I do not know about this particular case but this is how you can find out the current status and periodically monitor the case.

Most (I hope all) federal courts participate in a system called PACER. https://www.pacer.gov/ You can get a PACER account and see the docket (a list of filings for a particular case). Then you can download PDF versions of the filings. In a patent case, some filings are deemed sealed. That means that they are not available to the public as they may have trade secrets or other confidential information and the judge has agreed that this can be eyes only for the judge, and the attorneys on both sides.

Patent cases move relatively slowly as the federal courts have to give priority to criminal cases as we want accused people to have a speedy right to trial. That said, you can learn something from the initial filing "Complaint" filed by the plaintiff and the initial substantive filing ("Answer") filed by the defendant. Sometimes these documents are not as informative as you would like as the complaint merely needs to provide notice to the defendant. But as bare minimum, the complaint normally lists the patents involved and the products involved.

Other documents later in the case will map the elements of the claims to the elements of the product but this rarely appears in the initial documents.

There is a search tool within PACER at https://pcl.uscourts.gov/pcl/index.jsf.

Here are some excerpt from PACER.

The more than one million PACER users include attorneys, pro se filers, government agencies, trustees, data collectors, researchers, educational and financial institutions, commercial enterprises, the media, and the general public.

PACER Fees

Access to case information costs $0.10 per page. The cost to access a single document is capped at $3.00, the equivalent of 30 pages. The cap does not apply to name searches, reports that are not case-specific, or transcripts of federal court proceedings.

By Judicial Conference policy, if usage does not exceed $15 in a quarter, fees are waived.

Newly filed cases will typically appear on this system within 24 hours. Check the Court Information page for data that is currently available on the PCL. The most recent data is available directly from the court.
