A: With proper planning in advance of the sale, you can avoid Medicaid touching any of the proceeds.

Or, in the situation, where you want to sell the house and rent (or move into an ALF if you need extra help) or even move into a friend/child/sibling's home - there are a variety of strategies to protect the proceeds.
