Q: So I want to stay the night at my boyfriends house when I turn 18 very soon but his mom says it's illegal. He's 19.

I'll be 18 in December he will be 20 in May

A: It’s not illegal to stay the night at anyone’s house. Five year olds have sleep overs. Since I know you know this, I also know there is more to this situation. Bottom line: before you turn 18, your mom has the right to make common sense rules like not sleeping with men. After you turn 18, she doesn’t have that right. But don’t be too hasty to move yourself out because, after you turn 18, your mom is probably still going to be an important person in your life.
