Winnemucca, NV asked in Business Law for Nevada

Q: I own a computer repair shop in Nevada, I have systems that have sat in dust waiting for pickup. What can I do?

I have attempted to call customers and contact customers, property varies having sat for 60 days to over a year. It's currently taking up space that we could be using for other purpose and most customers do not provide any address, only a phone number and name as we're a small town shop.

A: A Nevada attorney would really need to address your concerns because the solution might involve state or city laws governing bailments. But your question remains open for two weeks. Although this is frustrating for you and people should be more considerate about your limited space, you could look at it positively in terms of being a good time to sit down with a Nevada attorney and draft some sort of store policy. The policy could govern the handling of computer equipment left in your shop - what happens when it isn't picked up in time and related issues. Good luck
