La Grange, KY asked in Divorce, Family Law, Child Custody and Child Support for Kentucky

Q: Can i move to another state?

My ex bf and I haven't been tog for almost 10 months in that time he has only seen our 2 children a handful of times. Our oldest he is on birth certificate but our youngest he is not. He doesn't really show any interest in our oldest together anyways only asks to see youngest. I kicked him out because he was abusive to me and our children and he is a convicted felon with repeat offenses of burglary and i had been trying to escape for awhile just in recent had the courage to. As of now he is passive and non existent because he is in a court ordered rehab and only pops in every now and again with texts to check on kids but has not physically seen or spoke to them in 4 months since our 7 yr old got his arm broke in his care at a playground and i just stopped responding to his calls because our oldest doesn't want to see him at all. I have a opportunity to give them abetter life in another state can I just move? What steps would I have to take? I am terrified of him even scared to file epo
