A: New Mexico? As in, the US state New Mexico? Then yes, you can live in New Mexico while your N-400 processes. Make sure to update your address with USCIS so that you don't miss important notices, and keep up with your case status by frequently checking it online.

A: Dear Future Dad,

If you decide to move while your application for naturalization is pending before USCIS you need to file a change of address form (Form AR-11) with the appropriate office. In theory, they are supposed to update the system and your naturalization interview should be scheduled to be conducted in New Mexico. I highly recommend that in addition to filing the change of address form you also request a forward address service with USPS. In addition to this also try to create an account with USCIS so you keep track of the naturalization process and don't miss any important correspondence regarding your naturalization process.

I hope this information helps.

Sincerely,

Patricia C. Wall
