Asked in Car Accidents and Traffic Tickets

Q: I was traveling on Interstate 87 during a snowstorm and crashed going 57. is this "speed not reasonable and prudent"

I was quoted "I was going about 60" however this was 20 mins after the crash and had no time to reflect on what was happening. realistically I was going about 57. And the snow was not removed on the road, therefore Even if i was going 55 my tires wernt touching the road

A: If you received a ticket, a good place to start might be to contact a traffic ticket attorney in the state where this occurred to discuss your options and what defenses might avail themselves to you based on the nature of the violation, speed limit, and other information. The crash you mention could possibly be of greater concern, if it involved injury to the occupants of another vehicle or substantial property damage to a vehicle. Hopefully it did not. Good luck
