A: Once you are 18, you can make your own decisions. But if you move out, you and the baby could lose your health insurance. After it is born, the father would have to establish paternity and file with the court for parental rights. The court would consider all the facts in determining what is in the best interest of the child. A court is unlikely to separate a newborn from its mother, but would allow the father to have time with the baby. Use the Find a Lawyer tab to retain a local family law attorney to review all the facts and advise you.
