Q: Is money in an LLC shielded from a personal bankruptcy?

I have 50K invested in my sisters company which is an LLC. If I filed personal bankruptcy would that money be exempt ?

A: That could be looked on as a fraudulent transfer. You should talk to a bankruptcy attorney about when the transfer was made, and if there is anyway to recoup the money.
